I love my haitian hot Chocolate. Over the years, I have had my share of Haitian chocolate. However, my all time favorite raw cocoa is called Tahomey chocolate. I like it mainly because it is in powder form and has much less fat than regular haitian chocolate.
They had to remove some of the cocoa butter to be able to turn it into powder. I have several recipe for it. Here is one of my favorites:
Prep time: 5 min Cook time: 10 minutes
2 cups of water
3 Tbsp Haitian Chocolate Powder (Tahomey)
1 tsp cinnamon powder
2 Tbsp maple sugar or cane sugar (add more as needed)
1/4 cup marshmallow
Mix all ingredients except marshmallow. Boil for 10 minutes. Pour into a heat safe cup, top with marshmallow.
